Liquid logistics, fluid innovation.

DBS (Dutch Barging Services) is a key player in European inland shipping, transporting liquid products for major energy and chemical clients. But the industry is changing—shifting towards strict ESG compliance and a "modal shift" away from road transport. DBS needed a digital presence that moved beyond the image of a traditional transporter to that of a forward-thinking logistics partner. We overhauled their identity and digital ecosystem to highlight their modern fleet, their safety standards, and their pivotal role in the green transition.

Branding

In an industry often defined by heavy machinery and industrial grit, we chose a route of clarity and sophistication. We refined the DBS brand to communicate reliability and environmental responsibility. The new visual identity utilizes a stable, confident typography paired with a palette inspired by deep waters and safety signals. This "clean logistics" aesthetic positions DBS not just as a service provider, but as a premium, compliant partner ready for the complexities of modern European supply chains.

The challenge was to organize deep technical expertise, from fleet specifications to ESG frameworks, without overwhelming the user. We designed a modular UI that balances heavy information with breathing room. The interface uses interactive fleet overviews and clear data visualization to demonstrate their capacity and reach. By structuring the content around "solutions" and "sustainability," we created a user journey that speaks as effectively to potential captains and crew as it does to major industrial stakeholders.
